As you know, Christine & I are ready to retire...

Over the course of the last few years, we have been hoping to sell All Aboard. There have been many genuinely interested parties, but none have managed to get the sale across the line.

So, we have made the difficult decision to close All Aboard at the end of this year. Our last trading day will be Saturday 30^thDecember 2023. 

Orders will continue to arrive over the next couple of months, and many new items still due for release in 2023 will be delivered to our Bowral store as usual.

 As you can imagine, Christine & I will have a lot of forward orders to work through. We will talk to each of our suppliers in Australia and Overseas personally to find a solution for delivery of our expected customer orders after our closing date.

If this applies to you, we will inform you directly of supply alternatives.

Items that are due after the end of this year will not be supplied by All Aboard.

If anyone wants to talk to us about buying All Aboard or any aspect of it, such as our All-Aboard POS system /online website/store fixtures & fittings, Cabinets, and Servicing Tools and Testing equipment, as well as Spare Parts from Fleischmann & Roco, LGB, Marklin/Trix, please get in touch.

We thank all our customers, past and present, for your loyalty & friendship.  We hope you understand this has not been an easy decision after so many wonderful years building up our unique and successful business, following on from Marj & Bill Webb and the great staff teams since 1975…… but it had to be done, and we are well overdue to retire.

As a lot of you already know, there is a life to be lived and Vic & I are ready.

All Aboard closing down FAQ’s

When is the store closing down?

The store’s final trading day is Saturday 30^th December 2023.  Doors close at 430pm.

What about a backorder that I already have with All Aboard?

Throughout early December we will contact all customers with a backorder that cannot be supplied by 30^thDecember with alternative supply arrangements.

Alternative arrangements could include purchasing the items through another store, direct supply from the manufacturer, supply by All Aboard through special arrangement or cancellation. Note that we have not collected any deposits for backorders. 

We have much more stock to arrive between today (30^th October) and the closing date. This includes many existing customer orders which we will manage as usual.

It is important that your contact details are correct so please make sure to check with our team that your backorder is in the computer system with your correct details.

Can I place a new backorder with All Aboard?

We are not making any new orders from 30^th October.

What about my existing or new Layby?

All existing Laybys have a completion date before the closing date and any new Layby (from 30^th October) must be completed by 430pm Saturday 23^rdDecember.

What happens to my gift voucher or store credit?

ALL gift vouchers must be redeemed by 430pm Saturday 30^th December.

We will communicate reminders to redeem vouchers throughout November and contact customers with remaining vouchers directly throughout December. It is only possible to contact customers who have supplied contact information. 

What happens to my loyalty points?

The 3% loyalty points scheme will run as normal until the closing date. You will continue to receive a 3% loyalty store credit on all purchases. The loyalty points store credits can be redeemed in store at any time until 430pm Saturday 30^th December. 

What about repairs / digital upgrades?

We will accept new repairs / upgrades until 430pm Thursday 30^th November. All repairs / upgrades will be ready in store from no later than Friday 22^ndDecember.

You must collect your repair by 430pm Saturday 30^th December.

What happens to warranty claims?

We have very few warranty claims as we test all trains and controllers before sale. In the event of an issue after the closing date you can contact the manufacturer. We are authorised resellers of all brands we stock. It is important to retain your proof of purchase. 

Are shop fixtures available for sale?

Is there a closing down sale?

There are (and will be) many bargains in store and on-line up to the closing date. Be sure to check in regularly.

I am a wholesale account holder.

Wholesale pricing and payment terms will cease from 430pm Friday 10^thNovember. Note that some instore pricing will be (and indeed already is) cheaper than the previous wholesale pricing.
