More Information on Prototype: In the F-trains of the early 1950s, only the 2nd class (corresponds to today's 1st class) was usually run. If required, 1st class (abolished in 1956) could also be offered; then only four of the six seats in a compartment were occupied. At the entrances, depending on the use of a car, the 1st or 2nd class or both classes could be displayed by covering the raised class numbers 1 and 2 with a cover plate. The plate could be attached by the staff in three positions.
