Express train apron car set

Prototype: 1st / 2nd Class AB4ü express train passenger car of the German Federal Railroad (DB). Apron dining car WR4üe of the Deutsche Schlafwagen- und Speisewagen Gesellschaft mbH (DSG), used on the Deutsche Bundesbahn (DB). The car looks as it did around 1953.

Short coupling hook.

Product description Model: Five-piece express train passenger car set, consisting of four 1./2. 1st class apron express train car and a DSG dining car (apron car). The car has the correct paint scheme and lettering. Typographical representation of the cover flaps over the class numbers for 1st class, so that 2nd class is visible on the models for use in F-trains. All cars are equipped with close coupling hooks.

Total length over the buffers 520 mm.

This wagon set fits z. B. the locomotive 88856 in a perfect way.

More Information on Prototype: In the F-trains of the early 1950s, only the 2nd class (corresponds to today's 1st class) was usually run. If required, 1st class (abolished in 1956) could also be offered; then only four of the six seats in a compartment were occupied. At the entrances, depending on the use of a car, the 1st or 2nd class or both classes could be displayed by covering the raised class numbers 1 and 2 with a cover plate. The plate could be attached by the staff in three positions.
